When life crises occur, a family approach is often what is needed. Dr. Clark uses a relational model when working with the family. The goal is for the family members
to have a safe place in therapy to share their experience. The family is guided
to communicate in a safe and caring manner so that each member is valued.

Dr. Clark presents information on boundary setting, healthy
communication and emotional validation as priorities in
establishing a safe and supportive family unit.

Dr. Clark has a strong background in working with troubled
teens and children with severe emotional problems. She is
able to guide parents in optimal strategies for difficult situations.
Dr. Clark understands the importance of parenting with loving
authority while allowing children and teens to make appropriate
choices. Strategies from the Love & Logic Institute and
John Gottman, Ph.D are used when training parents.
